Moore Explorer is a free public directory of parks, playgrounds, and trails in Moore County, North Carolina (Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen, and surrounding areas). Our website address is: https://www.mooreexplorer.com.

What personal data we collect and why

• Comments – We do not allow comments on the site.
• Contact / “Recommend a Park” form – When you submit the form (including any photo you upload), we collect your name, email address, and the message/photo. This information is only used to respond to your submission and is never shared with third parties.
• Google Analytics – We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymous data such as which pages are visited and how long people stay. No personal information is collected.

Media

If you upload a photo through the “Recommend a Park” form, we store that image on our server. We do not embed location data (EXIF GPS) from photos on the public site.

Cookies

We only use essential cookies to make the site work properly. We do not use marketing or tracking cookies beyond the anonymous Google Analytics cookie.

Embedded content

Some park pages may include embedded maps or videos from third-party sites (Google Maps, YouTube, etc.). These sites may collect data about you if you are logged into them.

How long we keep your data

Form submissions (name, email, message, photo) are kept only as long as needed to respond and are then deleted. We do not keep a permanent database of visitor information.

Your rights

You can request to see, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you (name, email, submitted photo) by contacting us at the email address on our Contact page. We will respond within 30 days.
